OW Automated Control

Safe autonomous wingsail operation from the wheelhouse.

OW Automated Control enables fully automated operation of the OceanWings system. It automatically manages wingsail operations, trimming, safety functions and remote monitoring through the OceanWings Console installed in the wheelhouse.

For shipowners, this maximizes operational simplicity and safety while eliminating the need for additional crew members to operate the wind propulsion system.

OW Adaptive Trimming

AI-powered trimming for maximum aerodynamic performance.

OW Adaptive Trimming continuously optimizes each OceanWings unit’s aerodynamic performance in real operating conditions. Powered by proprietary adaptive control software, the system adjusts trim settings in response to changing wind conditions, gusts, wingsail motions and aerodynamic interactions between multiple OceanWings units.

This ensures each OceanWings unit operates at its optimal trim at all times, maximizing wind-assisted propulsion performance and fuel savings.

Turning OceanWings expertise into vessel-wide propulsion recommendations.

OW Propulsion Optimization leverages OceanWings’ unique knowledge of wingsail behavior and its impact on vessel performance to provide real-time propulsion recommendations.

By combining OceanWings performance models with vessel operating data, the system evaluates how the wingsails interact with the vessel, the rudder, the main engine and the propeller. This enables more accurate recommendations for propulsion settings and vessel attitude.
